Our Values

TOVA means good in Hebrew. In Old Norse, it evokes strength and tradition. Across languages, it feels familiar: clean, simple, strong.

We created TOVA for the ritual of sweat—the calm, the clarity, the clean burn. No cords. No kindling. No gimmicks. No gas. Just fire: efficient, elegant, easy.

That’s why we’re building a sauna heater that lights itself, feeds itself, and brings the stones up fast—running on nothing but clean-burning wood pellets.

Why Pellets?

Wood pellets are made from the waste material from the manufacturing of other products. They are clean burning and provide a secondary life for that waste stream. Many stoves already are designed to heat typical homes with this heat source, but saunas primarily have wood-fired or electric heat options.

TOVA is working towards a novel way to sustainably step into a Finnish culture of sauna.
